I have used Jamacian Black Castor oil and regular castor oil. It is a staple in my routine. I add it to butters . My hair is coarse so it loves heavier oils and thick butters.after reading your review of the other Jamaician Isle products my curiosity is spiked. Might just have to give the shampoo and conditioner a try.

I’ve heard a lot of positive things about castor oil in general be it the black or the regular version. However, I heard that the black version was suppose to be stronger then the regular kind. Since I didn’t know how my coconut loving hair would like this new oil I decided to take it slow. Lol So I order myself a bottle of the regular castor oil by Now Solutions. I wanted to use this as a scalp treatment. I have two spots that need a lil extra care but I also wanted some all over fullness. I heard that this would help hair come in soft and thick.

When I first tried this on my scalp I put it on right after I towel dried my hair. I then followed it up with my leave in and then sealed with my coconut oil. I have to say my head itched ALL DAY! Thankfully by the end of the day this unusual itchy feeling had gone. I was happy I didn’t have to wash it out. The next time I decided to put it on my scalp AFTER my leave in and coconut oil…and it worked! Yay! So I’ve been doing it like that ever since, and it’s been two month now and my hair has been coming in softer and fuller.

Now, I think I’m ready to give the black castor oil a try. The fact that it smells good would just be an extra plus. Oh yeah, that’s the other thing about pure castor oil it smells kind of bad to me at least, but since it only on my scalp the smell of my leave in and coconut oil drowns it out. Lol Well, that’s my experience with castor oil. Wishing you a bless day.

P.S. I fav Sunny Isle over on face book but under the name of “LovelyOne Smith”. Over on you tube I liked your vid as “TheChatterFox”.

I have not tried Jamacian Black Castor Oil, but I've heard about the product and the benefit of castor oil in general. Hopefully the benefit to me would be to improve the strength and elasticity if my hair and also help it to grow.
